- Before/after photos taken during work (used to evidence the job and, where you ask us to, to support deposit-dispute submissions)
- Payment details handled by our payment processor (we do not store full card numbers; see "Who we share it with" below)

- Server logs (your IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security, abuse prevention and basic analytics

3. How and why we use your data
We use your personal data to:
- Respond to enquiries and provide quotes
- Schedule, deliver and follow up on cleaning and property-turnaround work
- Issue invoices and take payment

5. Who we share your data with

- Our team and trusted subcontractors (cleaners, painters, gardeners, removals operatives) acting under our instructions for the specific job.
- Letting agents and landlords, where you are a tenant whose check-out we are completing, or where your job is part of a portfolio account. We share what is needed to evidence the work done.
- Our hosting and IT providers: Amazon Web Services (EC2) for site hosting; Cloudflare for content delivery and DDoS protection.
- Our email provider: [Resend / AWS SES — confirm] for transactional emails such as booking confirmations.
- Our calendar provider: Google (Google Workspace / Google Calendar) for booking scheduling on the info@squeakyproservices.co.uk inbox.
- Our payment processor: Stripe Payments UK Ltd, which handles all card payments and deposits. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe's own privacy notice is at stripe.com/gb/privacy.
- Our accountant and professional advisers bound by their own confidentiality obligations.
- Tenancy deposit schemes (TDS, DPS, mydeposits) when you have asked us to provide an evidence pack for a dispute.
- Law enforcement and regulators if we are required to share information by law.
6. International transfers
Some of our suppliers (Stripe, Google, Cloudflare) are based outside the UK and may process your data in the United States or other countries. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on UK-approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or transfers under UK adequacy regulations.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes set out in this policy and to meet our legal obligations:
- Enquiry and quote data: 12 months from your last contact with us, then deleted.
- Booking and job records (including before/after photos): 6 years from the date of the job, to support tax records and any potential disputes.
- Invoices and accounting records: 6 years, in line with HMRC requirements.
- Marketing consents and contact preferences: until you withdraw consent or ask us to remove you.
- Server logs: 30 days.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:
- Right of access — to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification — to ask us to correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
- Right to erasure — to ask us to delete your data, subject to our legal record-keeping duties.

- TLS (HTTPS) encryption on every page of our website
- Encrypted storage on our servers
- Strong passwords, two-factor authentication on key accounts, and least-privilege access for staff
- Regular backups stored encrypted in the UK / EEA
- Reputable, GDPR-compliant suppliers for payments, email and calendar
No system is perfectly secure. If we ever become aware of a personal data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights, we will notify the ICO within 72 hours and, where required, notify you directly without undue delay.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. If we make material changes that affect how we use your data, we will notify you by email where appropriate.
